Canadian Financial Literacy Database – Temporary Service Interruption

Mar 07, 2025

The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada sent out a notice about the Canadian Financial Literacy Database. The notice is re-posted below:

Beginning March 20, 2025, the Canadian Financial Literacy Database will be temporarily unavailable for maintenance and upgrades.

While the Database is offline, all user accounts will be suspended, and access to resources and content submissions will be unavailable. Users still have full access to the financial literacy resources available on Canada.ca/money or the interactive financial tools at FCAC’s Financial Tools and Calculators.

We will provide an estimated return to service when we have more information. During this service interruption, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada will be:

  • Reviewing the terms of use to ensure they are clear, up-to-date, and aligned with the Database’s purpose.
  • Improving content and submission processes by assessing and updating existing content and streamlining submission processes for greater accuracy and relevance.
  • Enhancing user experience by implementing minor user experience (UX) improvements to navigation and usability.

We understand this interruption may be inconvenient. We are committed to completing this work as efficiently as possible to improve the Database for users.

We appreciate your understanding and patience. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Financial Consumer Agency of Canada
